Deemed to preceed an album release date reported by Play.com of November 23, sources claim the as-yet-untitled single could premiere "any day now". While the news has not be substantiated by Rihanna's team or label home, singer/songwriter Ne-Yo says fans should expect a "never heard before" Rihanna when the music debuts. "Expect an edgier, almost angrier Rihanna on this one. Rihanna says some things on this album that you've never heard her say before," says Ne-Yo. The night before the Grammy Awards in February, Rihanna argued with Brown, who bit, punched and choked her in a rented Lamborghini in the Hancock Park area of Los Angeles, leaving her bruised and bloodied, police said. Two weeks later, a photo of Rihanna that showed those injuries appeared on the entertainment gossip website TMZ.com. The sources confirmed this week that the investigation is focused on at least two officers. One of the officers, identified by sources as Rebecca M. RIHANNA is reportedly furious and "really upset" that ex-boyfriend Chris Brown has been ordered to stay away from her. Brown, 20, was formally sentenced last Tuesday to five years probation for the February assault of the Umbrella hitmaker. The singer was also sentenced to six months of community labor in Virginia after he pleaded guilty in June to one count of felony assault against Rihanna, 21. Brown will spend 1400 hours removing graffiti and washing cars and has been ordered not to contact Rihanna (including by phone or through a third person) for the next five years. He also must stay 100 yards from her, unless they are both at an entertainment-related event, in which he must stay 10 yards away. Rihanna, sources say, has been working to get Chris’s restraining order lifted. "When Rihanna got word from her attorney that the judge refused to lift the ban, she was really upset," one insider told Britain’s Now magazine.
