Prince William Engagement Location And Other Wedding Details

Prince William, Kate MiddletonWhile we all live in the fairy-tale romance of the Kate Middleton and Prince William engagement, media worldwide has called us to the attention of the location where Prince William first handed Kate Middleton her engagement ring.

The UK Sun reports that the blue sapphire engagement ring was given to Prince William's bride-to-be in a cabin hut about 10,500 feet about sea level on the side of Mount Kenya, Africa. They stayed at the 55,000-acre Lew Downs wildlife reserve with another couple. The ranch is owned by William's friend Ian Craig.
Middleton signed her name into the visitor's book for one night on October 20.

Signing it Catherine Middleton, Prince William's girl described their fishing trip on Lake Rutundu and wrote she had a wonderful and romantic 24 hours.  Still, no hint was given of popping the question or Kate Middleton's engagement ring.
In another news, Middleton recently visited Westminister Abbey with senior palace aides. Aides said she was checking out several venues in hopes of making a decision for the wedding location.  The Abbey was the same location where Prince Diana's funeral took place.

As William went back to work a Search and Rescue helicopter pilot in North Wales, a rep at the prince's office said, "Miss Middleton "Miss Middleton paid a private visit to Westminster Abbey to meet key staff there in order to consider it as an option. They will consult further with their families before making a final decision."

No decision has yet been made.  to mark the big day kicks into production in the U.K, so has a claim arisen that the couple favor March as a possible wedding month. But aides say that the big event could just as easily take place in summer wedding. Insiders say the actual date will possibly be revealed in the next few days.

Speaking to PEOPLE early Thursday, a spokeswoman at the prince's office would only say, "Miss Middleton paid a private visit to Westminster Abbey to meet key staff there in order to consider it as an option. They will consult further with their families before making a final decision."
